LAURIE VENNING
FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN
Laurie Venning is an accomplished businessman with over 25 years of senior executive experience and business leadership. He is the original founder of Regent Energy Group Ltd. and its technology. Mr. Venning has vast experience in fabrication and manufacture of oilfield drilling equipment and sand control manufacturing equipment.
In 2020, Laurie split focus and joined the global response to the COVID 19 pandemic providing PPE equipment and then rapid tests to clients ranging from the Government of British Columbia to Netflix, Disney and Paramount.
VennWest medical businesses include Covid-19 testing, PPE, and two private American medical tools, devices and intellectual property companies working on early Cancer detection (RiboMed and Health Discovery Corp.).
VennWest entertainment and film businesses include 775 Media & Level Films.
VennWest energy activities are in oil and gas trading with Enertrade International Ltd. specializing in LNG contracts and sales. Vennwest also owns positions in Met Espano Energia SA in Spain of which is a wholesale gas trading and sales company.
On an additional note, Mr. Venning also envisioned and launched the Praespero Autoimmune Research Trust charity. In operation since 2010, Praespero plans to eliminate autoimmune disease in all it’s forms through innovation, collaboration, and cross-disciplinary research into it’s root causes. It’s a cause he firmly believes in and sees a lack of public awareness and funding for a disease that affects so many people.

Reagen Ekman joined VennWest Global Technologies in 2020 and has been serving as its Chief Executive Officer since fall of 2021. Mr. Ekman is an Executive with over 20 years of experience in the Energy Sector. Early in his career Mr. Ekman acquired a stake in a Canadian engineering company in 2005 and expanded its operations onto the international stage by creating a Joint Venture with Sheikh Mana Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum to establish operations in UAE; and later sold it in 2013.
As an Engineer he has managed Oil & Gas development projects in excess of $Billion capital & operational expenses in several regions including North America, Middle East and Latin America; notable clients include Oasis Petroleum, PEMEX, Kuwait Oil Company, ADNOC, & Apache Canada. Joining VennWest allowed Mr. Ekman to use his skills in capital project management, technical knowledge, & team management for battling the COVID pandemic, energy trading, & ecological regeneration.
Mr. Ekman is a Petroleum Engineering Technology graduate from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and is registered with APEGA as a Professional Licensee (Engineering).
